Star: In Star Topology, each device has a dedicated point-to-link dedicated to a central controller called a hub or switch. This controller acts as an exchange, which relay data from one device to another. Unlike the Mesh Topology, two devices can not communicate directly. All communications are done through the controller.

Advantages
→Since each device requires only one link and an I / O port for the controller, it is less expensive.
→It is easy to establish and reconnect the star topology.
→It is strong because even if one link fails, the other remains active.
→Fault detection and separation is also easy.
Disadvantages
→The performance of the network depends entirely on the hub. If the hub fails, the entire network stops. Since all communications are done through the hub, the speed of communication depends on the number of devices connected to the hub.
